With many different types of inverters available on the market, let's take a quick look at the major types of solar inverters.
What is Solar Inverter?
Solar Inverter is a major component in a Solar Power System. It converts the output of a Solar Panel, electric Direct Current (DC) into Alternating Current (AC). This AC is then used to supply electric power to operate your appliances.

1. String Inverters
Simplest and most effective design with economical cost. Most common inverter type for residential units, and it is an overwhelmingly famous choice for Australians especially in sunny Queensland.
This type of inverters combines a solar and battery inverter together in a single unit. It is slowly becoming a preferred choice in Europe although choices are still limited in the Australian market.
3. Battery Inverters
Solar inverters that use battery backups - you can separate the battery system separate from the solar system.
